The rain is a peculiar thing
It's a sombre affair, this - rainy days!
Nature's way of putting satire at play
The gloominess of the heart potrayed in the clouds
And yet, I love the rain
Like a cruel and heartwrenching love story
Something tragically romantic about it
The tears Heaven shed in order to nourish
Whatever the rain touches becomes a picture of sadness
The cold wind that howls and moans... of sufferings far greater than mine
And therein lies the beauty and assurance...
That my pain will pass and all will be fine
The storm might come with the rain
But despite the havoc it creates, peace and serenity awaits
We learn to strengthen our foundation
So it'll never be swept away again
When the rain stops, it leaves a moral
Of silver linings and wealth in the Sky
The lingering petrichor reminds us; our fates are intertwined
And we are Caliphs, responsible for this space we lay claim and occupy
You and I, we are a part of Nature
More than we think we are
