Waiting...
That's all that she's been doing
For as long as she can remember...
She had always been waiting
For the bus, for her meal, for a change in the weather
Waiting...
And today she waited again
For the time to pass 'cos her job's killing her
Never in her life has she done something so mundane
And never has she seen so much paper!
Waiting...
She took a pencil and an eraser
Sat down and began writing on a paper
About being the one made to wait
And under her breath, she cursed her fate
Waiting...
With a wholemeal cracker and a cup of coffee
Her colleague broke her train of thoughts with a query
"Who you voting for in the upcoming G.E?"
She replied, "Surely not the ruling party!"
Waiting...
As there's little else she can do
She let lustful thoughts fill her mind
And the radio played something from The Who
Which made the images in her head even more divine
Waiting...
Wait! Thinking those thoughts' a bad idea
'Cos now she's feeling... Err...?
She's got to stop writing already
Sure is weird to be at work and feeling frisky!
